This might be my last blog this week because I'm on crunch time to lock down my short film. Justin did a fantastic job with the sound fx and editing with Soundtrack Pro. He was right-- it is very user friendly. It just crashes once in a while. I'll be tweaking and completing the rest tonight.
We are still waiting on Eric to finish the music score. Like No Country For Old Men and The Hurt Locker, there is very minimal music so that the film can provide absolute tension with the actors on screen. That's just the good news. 3 more days to go. I am preparing for every possible disaster to occur, especially on the night of. I want to run the film on Quicktime instead of a playable DVD. It'd be smoother and higher in resolution. I need to find out if the projector room has a good Mac to run movies.
All in all, there will be 74 guests or so attending the premiere. I am still shocked. I'm not a good public speaker so when I face them all, I will be speechless with my head down. What could I say other than thanks and recounting the genesis of the story? I dunno. I was only hoping for 20 friends to show.
